The electro-permanent magnet only requires power when it is switched on and off. So it is just as maintenance free and energy saving as the permanent magnet and just as powerfull and broadly applicable as the electromagnet. In addition the electro-permanent magnet system is characterised by a high degree of safety, because it remains magnetic all the time, even if the power should be interrupted for some reason. Thanks to its electronic remote control system the electro-permanent magnet is quite well suited for automated processes. Plates, rod stock, sections and coils are moved with perfect ease. Power is only required for switching it on and off. The electro-permanent magnet can be used singly or integrated into a system. Just like the electro magnet, the electro-permanent magnet offers a high degree of design flexibility and it can be used, if desired, to build very large systems.
