Walker Magnetics Group (WMG) is a global success story whose finest chapters are still being written. The story began in 1896 with Oakley S. Walker, the inventor of the electromagnetic chuck, and his founding of the O.S. Walker Company in Worcester, Massachusetts. Over the next century, the company would grow to become the largest company in the world providing custom design and manufacture of magnetic products for workholding, material handling and separation applications.

Mr. Walker’s electromagnetic chuck was successful because it met a need and solved a problem.
