BATTERY BACKUP SYSTEM

Battery Backup Systems feature instantaneous emergency power takeover in the event of a power failure, providing approximately 20 minutes of DC power. This holds the load safely in place until it can be properly released or until normal power is restored.

Systems can be added to your present magnet installation or with new magnet installations. In addition to the battery backup unit, the system also includes meters to display battery amps and magnet volts, a solid state battery control device to maintain batteries at "float voltage", and an alarm system.

• Battery and control sections are enclosed in TYPE 12 cabinets
• Display section enclosed in a TYPE 1 cabinet.
• Solid state components for instantaneous transfer from main power to battery power
• Rapid recharge circuit with automatic transfer to "float" charge
• Alarm system with horn and flashing lights
• Industrial grade heavy-duty lead acid batteries standard; nickel cadmium batteries optional
